Importers and breweries

Brewers and importers can join the deposit-based recycling system. In addition, each beverage container, can or recyclable plastic bottle must be separately registered in the system. PALPA will check the information and markings of each product upon its registration; subsequently, once the sample cans and bottles have been tested, PALPA will decide whether or not to accept similar bottles and cans in general.

If a product is changed with respect to its material, shape, size or markings, it must undergo a renewed approval process at PALPA, with a new sample being delivered to both PALPA and suppliers of reverse vending machines.
