You will be notified once the application has been processed.
Pledging security
After the deposit payer is accepted into the system, it must pledge a security under point 1 of the rules. An acceptable security comprises a bank deposit or a guarantee. The deposit payer must read the contract carefully and complete all the required points (please note notice/undertaking to bank).
Two (2) copies of the signed security contract should be submitted to PALPA. PALPA shall return one of the copies, signed, to the deposit payer.
The amount of the security is determined in line with the security table approved by PALPA's Board.
Seeking approval for PET bottles, ties, labels and label markings
The application relating to the product is completed in PALPA's Extranet. A bottle included in the system must have markings in machine code as well as in clear-text and the bottle must comply with the specification. The deposit payer must deliver two (2) authentic sample bottles to PALPA. The deposit payer will be notified when the markings are approved.
Testing bottles in reverse vending machines
Send each machine manufacturer six (6) authentic sample bottles. The test will confirm that the reverse vending machines are able to identify the bottles' EAN code. The product is approved after it has been tested in the reverse vending machines. The deposit payer will be notified when the product is finally approved for inclusion in the system.
Updating reverse vending machines
PALPA updates the reverse vending machines twice a month.
